Digital 3D Tools

As said in the infopage, in the last decade of the previous century I became more and more concentrated on the graphic sides of the computer. The ever expanding possibilities of this tool makes it possible to add almost unlimited layers and transparencies to digital paintings. The writer starts using applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, PaintShop Pro and 3D Studio Max. The main thought is though to design and perfect an idea on the computer and then to use this as a beginning for a painting.

Although since I got sight of Open Source Software I'm inclined to start using these applications. From around 2014 I am creating my pictures more and more in GIMP. Another stream of digitalised pictures is created on the mobile phone. More and more applications supporting layers and transparancy like PhotoEditor and PhotoEditorUltimate come available.

Since the release of the Dutch-made 3D-program Blender 2.8x late 2019 another wonderful tool offers great possibilities to create new digital paintings. Blender is a tool to create 3-dimensional pictures and even animations or movies. Though it takes quite some efforts and time to master the program it already gives promising results and is indeed a challenge for a creative mind.
