Computer Graphics

In the last decade of the last century I am more and more concentrated on the graphic sides of the computer. The ever expanding possibilities of this tool makes it possible to add layers and transparencies almost unlimited to digital paintings. The main thought is though to design and perfect an idea on the computer and then to use this as a beginning for a painting. In this period I also work as a free-lance teacher in computer graphics.

Starting in 2015 doubts are increasing about the longevity of this process, in which sometimes designs with a hundred to two hundred transparent layers, makes the distance between design and painting almost unbridgeable. That is where the increasing possibilities of quality printing comes into focus. In 2016 the first large canvas is printed (250 X 180cm) for a private assignment.(more information: Digital Tools)

In the summer of 2017 starts an exhibition in restaurant 'In Geuren en Kleuren' in Berg en Dal near Nijmegen. Centre piece is "L'Hirondelle", sized 200 x 100 cm. Another exhibition of some 20 works runs from october that year in a 5-star hotel 'Le Méredien', in Dahab, Sinaï in Egypt. In 2018/19 new works are presented in the Sint Maartenskliniek in Nijmegen.
